Jeneill Smith

- Jeneill founded Grasshopper Salon in 2002 after moving back to San Francisco after spending many years working in New York. She opened the Salon with the goal of attracting and shaping the careers of emerging talent in the hair industry. As the Creative Director, she travels internationally teaching as well as attending advanced courses-as she is known to say, “Your box of knowledge can never be full.’ Jeneill balances her time at the salon with frequent trips to NYC and London to style hair during fashion week. Jeneill personally leads education program at Grasshopper salon.

Nicola Hind

- Joined Grasshopper Salon in 2002. She was trained and worked in Manchester, England and completed an accelerated training program soon after arriving at Grasshopper. She loves to travel and learn new techniques to bring back to her loyal clientele. In the 9 years she has worked at Grasshopper, she has brought the inspiration from every corner of the world to her clients through her cut and color skills.

Hareg Kasseye

- Joined Grasshopper in May of 2003. She has completed her haircutting and color program at the salon. In the 8 years Hareg has worked at Grasshopper she has established a loyal clientele whom always leave with tailor-made look. She builds these looks based on her clients maintenance needs. Her men’s styling ranges from classic to trend created precision and creativity. She has attended Tony & Guy academies in NYC, LA and London.

Kristen Luna-Page

- Joined Grasshopper in 2003, bringing three years of technical cutting experience from Toni & Guy Newport Beach where she was a part of their Artistic Team. Soon after arriving at Grasshopper she completed the colour-training program. Her strong background in cutting has shaped many of the talented stylists during her 8 years at our salon. She was featured in Allure Magazine for her technical skill shaping curly hair. She is known for enhancing any texture of hair from fine to thick, curly to straight. Art and fashion inspires her to work on editorial photos shoots on her free time.

Susan Harman

- Joined us in May 2003 and completed a full apprenticeship in both cutting and color.

Nicole Goodman

- Joined us in January 2004 and completed a full apprenticeship in both cutting and color. Nicole is on the TIGI Art Team as a Technical (color) Educator and teaches hairdressers throughout California and the West Coast.

Hung Tran

- Joined Grasshopper in June 2004. Hung is on the TIGI Art Team as a Technical (color) Educator and teaches hairdressers throughout California and the West Coast.

Melanie Rehfeld

- Joined Grasshopper in 2005 and completed an accelerated training program. She relocated from NYC where she worked as a stylist and completed an extensive training program in both cutting and colour. Melanie often travels to NYC to attend advanced academies and catch up on the latest trends. She is known at the salon for her ability to work with every type of hair texture and specializes in curly hair.

Lena Garcia

- Joined us in March 2007 and has completed both extensive haircutting and color programs at our Salon. As Artistic Director for the Grasshopper Colour Program she sets the technical and artistry standards for natural to vibrant color applications. She has attended advanced classes in New York, LA and London focusing on advanced colour techniques.

Raquel Negrete

- Joined us in May of 2007, she has completed both extensive cut and color training programs at our salon. As Artistic Director for the Grasshopper Haircutting Program she’s responsible for intergrading the latest techniques and trends into our curriculum. Raquel’s advanced training has taken her to New York, LA and London where she’s studied under top educators. Raquel was featured in the March 2010 issue of Allure Magazine’s as “Ones to Watch”. She delivers fashion forward styles that meet each of her client’s needs, giving them versatility and longevity in their cut and color.

Jarrod Aldama

- Joined Grasshopper in August 2007, Jarrod has completed both our extensive cutting and color training programs. In 2010 Jarrod became a haircutting educator helping shape new talent at Grasshopper. Jarrod’s clients leave our salon with glamorous hair and brilliant color that could be mistaken for their own. He has attended advanced training in New York, LA and London. When he’s not tending to his clientele he works as an ambassador for label m. teaching product knowledge in Northern California.

Elisa Soria

- Joined Grasshopper in 2008. She has completed both haircutting and colour training programs. Elisa is known for helping her clients choose a hairstyle and color that reflects their personality and styling preferences. She has attended advanced training at the Tony & Guy USA Academy in LA.

Beth Landrith

- Joined Grasshopper in January 2010 and completed an accelerated training program in both cut and colour. Beth moved west from Oklahoma City where she worked at a top TIGI salon for five years. She makes the art of ‘styling’ hair look effortless which is why she is constantly booked for bridal and editorial work. Beth’s flawless styling keeps her booked for events and photo shoots all over Northern California. She has attended advanced TIGI and Toni & Guy academies in Dallas and London.

Logan Potter

- Joined Grasshopper in 2010 and has completed her haircutting training. Logan moved to San Francisco from Orange County where she trained at a Vidal Sassoon Institute focusing on building a foundation in strong technical cutting. She is in the process of completing the colour education program at Grasshopper.

Sean Harrison Metcalfe

- Joined Grasshopper salon in 2008. He has completed both the colour and cutting training programs. Sean’s passion for colour is evident as he is often learning advanced and creative techniques. He specializes in art of ‘Balayage’ – a free form highlighting technique created by painting colour to bring out natural sun-kissed hue and ‘Ombre’ a beautiful color technique that creates dimension by gradually fading from dark to light. Sean’s clients leave with the inspiring shades from vibrant reds to golden blonde and all colours in-between.
